YOOOOOO, What's up y'all?!
First, let me start off by saying that the MTC is awesome! I have had such a spiritual, and amazing experience. The first day we had a devotional and it had a really cool message. They talked about how Christ always turned outwards to others no matter what. Even when he had fasted for 40 days and nights in the desert, the first thing he did was send angels to minister to John. They also brought up how it can be overwhelming to look at our missions right now and think about how we have 2 years to go. We were told to take it one day at a time, and to celebrate milestones. I loved that advice and I think it will really help. Anyways, the devotional was just awesome. Aside from that I think the coolest thing that happened this week was when my companion Elder Maxfield and I, did our helping others assignment. Helping others is this workshop at the MTC where there are people who could be actors or just people who are looking to learn more about the gospel who we teach. The guy we are teaching is named Dwayne and he is hilarious. He is this really interesting guy who has pink dyed hair, painted nails and he's probably in his 50's. He is so loving towards others and our lesson went really well. I'm looking forward to our next lesson! Anyways, this email is gonna be kinda short cause I've only been here for like three days. Now to address the food situation, it is honestly pretty decent for the most part. However, I had the worst curry of my life one of the nights and I was not stoked on that. But other than that its way good and certainly better than the Ghana MTC 😜. Sidenote, the title of this email is to pay homage to one of Erik's first emails haha.
